Definitions

Transfers – A transfer is carried out in an ABES vehicle and occurs when a passenger(s) is driven from Point A to Point B. The drivers’ responsibility to the passenger(s) ends at the conclusion of that transfer.

The driver will then leave the area and attend to his/her next appointment.

Charters – A charter is carried out in an ABES vehicle and occurs when a passenger(s) is driven from their original pickup location and transferred to their next desired location and/or then on to another or multiple other locations.

The driver will wait at a designated area, for the passenger(s) to be ready for their next transfer and the drivers’ responsibility is to attend to their passenger(s) transfer needs until the conclusion of the pre-determined duration of the charter.

Wedding Transfers – A wedding transfer is carried out in an ABES vehicle and occurs when a booking requires the ABES driver to transport a member(s) of a wedding party or wedding guests to or from their original location or accommodation to a Wedding Venue, Wedding Ceremony, Wedding Reception or any other location being held in celebration of the marriage.

The drivers’ responsibility to the passenger(s) ends at the conclusion of that transfer and will then leave the area and attend to his/her next appointment.

Wedding Charters – A wedding charter is carried out in an ABES vehicle and occurs when a booking requires the ABES driver to transport a member(s) of a wedding party or wedding guests from their original pickup location and transferred to their next desired location and/or then on to another or multiple other locations.

The driver will wait at a designated area, for the passenger(s) to be ready for their next transfer and the drivers’ responsibility is to attend to their passenger(s) transfer needs until the conclusion of the pre-determined duration of the charter.

General Bookings

All transport services are to be pre-ordered and pre-paid and subject to vehicle and driver availability. Although cash transactions may be accepted, please note that no cash is held with the driver or within the vehicle.

Airlie Beach Executive Services (ABES) does not guarantee the availability for all bookings. Vehicle availability will be based on a first come, first served basis.

Discounted Return Fares – To receive a return fare discount, passengers must book a return fare when the original booking is made. Each way bookings will not receive the discounted return rate.

SurchargesWhitsunday Coast Airport Transfers (Proserpine Airport) booked to be carried out during a public holiday will incur a $75 surcharge for each transfer that occurs on a public holiday. Bookings for transfers that occur outside of normal trading hours (6am to 6pm) at any stage of the transfer will incur a surcharge of $75. After hours transfers booked on a public holiday will incur both surcharges.

Bowen & Mackay Transfers booked to be carried out during a public holiday will incur a $150 surcharge for each transfer that occurs on a public holiday. Bookings for transfers that occur outside of normal trading hours (6am to 6pm) at any stage of the transfer will incur a surcharge of $150. After hours transfers booked on a public holiday will incur both surcharges.

Townsville Transfers booked to be carried out during a public holiday will incur a $300 surcharge for each transfer that occurs on a public holiday. Bookings for transfers that occur outside of normal trading hours (6am to 6pm) at any stage of the transfer will incur a surcharge of $300. After hours transfers booked on a public holiday will incur both surcharges.

Cairns Transfers booked to be carried out during a public holiday will incur a $600 surcharge for each transfer that occurs on a public holiday. Bookings for transfers that occur outside of normal trading hours (6am to 6pm) at any stage of the transfer will incur a surcharge of $600. After hours transfers booked on a public holiday will incur both surcharges.

Cancellation Policy

  1. Non-Refundable Cancellations:
    No refunds will be issued for cancellation requests made within 48 hours of the scheduled transfer date.
  2. Partial Refunds:
    Cancellation requests made outside of the 48-hour window will incur a 25% cancellation fee.
  3. Full Refunds:
    A 100% refund will be granted in the unlikely event that Airlie Beach Executive Services (ABES) is unable to fulfill a pre-paid booking.
  4. Force Majeure and Special Circumstances:
    Credits may be issued for cancellations due to force majeure or other personal reasons, which will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
  5. Refund and Credit Requests:
    All requests for refunds or credits must be submitted in writing within 3 days after the scheduled transfer date. Supporting documentation, such as evidence of flight cancellations or other valid reasons, including force majeure, must be provided.

Discounted Fares – Advertised discounts in conjunction with any Promotion or Sale advertised on the website, will only take effect if 100% of travel (transfers) occur within the Promotion/Sale period.

Promotions and Sales are available to individual passengers booking directly to ABES via the website or otherwise.

Promotions and Sales are not available for guests at hotels with prior contractual agreements with ABES for transfers.

Additional Passengers – For transfers between the Whitsunday Coast Airport and Airlie Beach, any extra passengers wanting to travel on a confirmed pre-booked airport transfer, may do so, as long as it is agreed to by the party who made the booking. Each additional passenger will be charged at a rate of $44. Subject to available seating.

Split Bookings:

  • Bookings will not be split between flights if their scheduled arrival times are more then 30 minutes apart.
  • Priority will be given to the original booking and in case of any delay to the original flight, we will wait for that flight to land.
  • If a delay occurs to the pursuing booking of more than 10 minutes, the driver will be instructed to leave in order to attend to other bookings.
  • In the event that the flight is more than 10 minutes delayed, and there are no other bookings to attend to, the decision to wait or leave will be the drivers to make.
  • If either flight is more than an hour delayed, you may request our driver to make his or her way back to the airport when the flight lands (subject to availability). This will be charged at 50% of the original booking cost.

Late Payment Fees – Invoices not paid by the due date will attract a 5% fee. A separate invoice will be raised for this fee after the initial invoice has been finalised and will carry payment terms of 7 days.

Proserpine Airport Transfers

Enquiries for airport transfers may also be made by calling the office phone during business hours, texting +61 404 101 212 or via social media platforms such as WhatsApp.com & Facebook Messenger only.

Enquiries completed via the enquiry form on the website are the most effective and will require the passenger to enter their personal and flight details. This will ensure a quicker response time and increase the chances of securing vehicle availability.

Airport transfers can be booked at the rates advertised on the ABES website www.abes.com.au/airport-transfers and the rates may vary from time to time without prior notice.

Travel time to and from the airport is 30 minutes from the time all passengers are in the vehicle and ready to go.

Transfer delays may be caused by force majeure and cane train crossings. Boarding delays may be caused at baggage collection at the airport. These delays are beyond ABES’ control and ABES will not be held responsible for inconveniences caused by these delays.

Pickup for transfers to the airport will be approximately one-and-a-half (1.5) hours before flight departure time and arrival to the airport will be no less than one (1) hour before scheduled flights.

Mackay Airport Transfers

Bookings for Mackay Airport transfers will be confirmed 48 hours before transfer date and the booking request must be made at least three (3) days in advance of the pick-up date and time. Booking may not otherwise be guaranteed.

Weddings Services

Booking ABES Wedding Services through a recognised Whitsunday Wedding Planner will reduce the cost of the service. If booking a wedding transfer independently, the price will be 20% higher than prices obtained by booking through a Wedding Planner.

A 50% non-refundable deposit must be paid immediately after booking confirmation for all wedding bookings.

The remaining 50% outstanding for all wedding transfers is due no later than one (1) week after the wedding/transfer date and a second invoice will be provided. The second invoice is payable at any time and if preferred, it may be paid before the due date.

Only if ABES is solely responsible for not being able to undertake their obligations, will a full refund be granted.

Tours

Tours may be booked in conjunction with those offered and operated by Airlie Beach Executive Services only.

Charters

Charters may be booked in conjunction with those offered and operated by Airlie Beach Executive Services only.

Photography

A surcharge of 15% applies to photography services conducted on a Public Holiday.

Cleaning Charges

If the ABES driver deems the vehicle to have been left in a less than satisfactory state by any travelling persons, a cleaning fee of no more than $500 may be charged for cleaning the interior of the vehicle.

Incorrect Transfer Types

ABES reserves the right to modify or edit bookings where the incorrect transfer type has been selected. Please ensure you select the appropriate transfer type when making your booking.

Other Requirements

Dress Code – Clean and appropriate attire is preferred for all types of travel.

Passenger Safety – The driver is responsible for the safety of all passengers onboard and he or she has the right to eject from the vehicle, any person deemed by the driver, to be compromising the safety of others.

Food and Beverage Consumption – Foods and beverages are strictly not to be consumed in the vehicle unless otherwise agreed to in advance by Airlie Beach Executive Services. Free bottled water and mints supplied by the driver are the only exception.

Intoxicated passengers will not be permitted on board and bad behaviour will not be tolerated. Passengers may be refused entry or asked to leave the vehicle and the decision to do so, is at the discretion of the driver.

Children Travelling – Children under 12 months old must be restrained in a rear-facing car seat. The seat may be supplied and fitted by the passenger(s), or it may be supplied and fitted by ABES (a child seat supplied and fitted by ABES will incur a cost of $33 per transfer in addition to the cost of the child as a regular passenger).

For children between 1 and 4 years old, the passenger(s) may opt to carry the child on their person (lap), but a seat must also be made available for that child and the child will be counted as a regular passenger.

A passenger(s) may request that a child between the ages of 1 and 8, sit in a child restraint. The seat may be supplied and fitted by the passenger(s), or it may be supplied and fitted by ABES (a child seat supplied and fitted by ABES will incur a cost of $33 per transfer in addition to the cost of the child as a regular passenger).

Passenger(s) may opt for their children over the age of 4, to travel without a child seat and to be restrained only by the vehicles factory fitted seat belt.

Animals Travelling – We love animals! Small to medium cats and dogs will be permitted to travel in our vehicles as long as they are restrained and, in their CASA approved carry cages during transit. An extra charge of $55 per animal will apply.
